When we go to the library, I usually let the kids each check out four or five books that look interesting to them for night reading. One of them picked up
Cook-a-Doodle-Doo! by Janet Stevens and Susan Stevens Crummel. We've read books by them before; our favorite being
Plaidypus Lost which is catchy and cute and actually pretty funny.
Cook-a-Doodle-Doo! is yet another precious story by the two sisters and the kids and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. At the end there was a recipe for the strawberry shortcake the animals made in the book, so naturally we just had to make one ourselves! I'll let you know how it tastes ...
